How do we test for Radon?
Short term test
Testing for Radon can take place in two ways, the first is a short term test. Short-term tests remain in your home for two days to 90 days. Because radon levels tend to vary from day to day and season to season, a short-term test is less likely than a long-term test to tell you your year-round average radon level.
Before you can get an accurate sample of the air in your home, you'll need to close all of your exterior doors and all of your windows. Note you will have to keep them closed at least 12 hours prior to starting the test.

Long term test
A long term test would last between 91 days and 1 year. Seems like a long time to conduct a test but the fact is the longer the test lasts the more accurate the actual annual radon levels will be in your home.
